Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026: Our Tips, Tricks & Stylists' Picks

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026

Every July, like clockwork, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale rolls around, and the buzz comes right along with it. This one always stirs up more excitement (and yes, more FOMO) than your average markdown. Part of it is the timing. It feels a little wild to think about fall while we're still living in sundresses and sandals. But the bigger reason is that this sale isn't clearing out last season's leftovers. It's brand-new arrivals at discounted prices before the season even starts. That's what makes it worth paying attention to.

That said, let me be clear. As I say every year, just because it's on sale doesn't mean you should buy it. My rule: if you wouldn't buy it at full price, don't buy it just because it's marked down. Those are the exact pieces I find in clients' closets every single day, tags still on, worn zero times. A bad buy is still a bad buy, even at 40% off. So let's shop this one with intention.

This year Maddy, Audrey, and I are each sharing our personal picks, so you're getting three stylists' eyes on the sale instead of one. And we’ll be adding more picks throughout the sale, so check back in! Let's get into it.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026 Schedule

First Things First: Early Access Starts with a Nordstrom Card

Want to shop before everyone else? You'll need a Nordstrom Card. Cardmembers get first dibs on the good stuff, before the best sizes and colors start disappearing.

If you don't already have one, you can sign up here.

Here's how the 2026 schedule breaks down:

  • July 6: Digital preview goes live. Browse everything and start building your wishlist (more on why this matters below).

  • July 14: Icon Early Access opens (cardmembers who spend $15k+ annually).

  • July 15: Ambassador Early Access opens (cardmembers who spend $5k+ annually).

  • July 16: Influencer Early Access opens (cardmembers who spend $2k+ annually, so most cardholders).

  • July 18: Public Access opens. Everyone can shop!

  • August 9: Last day of the sale.

  • August 10: Prices go back to regular retail.

Even if you're not shopping until public access, you can (and should) preview everything starting July 6. The catalog is live, so it's the perfect time to browse and plan before the good stuff moves.

How To Shop the Sale Without Getting Overwhelmed

The Nordstrom Sale is big. Like, really big. Here's how I shop it smartly, and how I'd suggest you do the same.

Let Us Curate for You

We've already gone through everything so you don't have to scroll for hours. Start with our picks below and shop with intention instead of getting lost in the endless scroll.

Shop Online

It's quicker, easier, and more efficient. Most local stores don't carry the full selection anymore unless you're in a major city, so online is where you'll find it all.

Opt for 2-Day Shipping

Pay the $12 for two-day shipping. Trust me, it's worth it. It often moves your order to the front of the line and boosts your chances of getting what you want before it sells out.

Use the Wishlist Tool

This feature is your secret weapon.

Here's how to use the wishlist:

  • Sign into your Nordstrom account

  • Select your size and preferred color for each item

  • Click "Add to Wishlist"

Now when your access level opens, everything is ready to go. Sizes, colors, all of it. Bonus: if something sells out, you'll get a notification when it's back.

Shop Hallie's Picks

These are my go-to's. The pieces I come back for at this sale year after year because they never disappoint.

Shop Maddy's Picks

You've met Maddy, our Associate Stylist and resident Kent State grad. She has such a good eye and a knack for making trends feel wearable, so I asked her to pull what she's adding to cart this year. Here's what made her list:

Shop Audrey's Picks

And I'm so excited to introduce Audrey, the newest stylist to join our team! She brought such a fresh perspective to her picks this year, and I can't wait for you to get to know her. You can read a little more about Audrey here. In the meantime, here's what's on her Nordstrom list:

A Few More Sale Strategies We Swear By

  • Don't panic if something sells out. Nordstrom holds back merchandise for different shopper tiers, and plenty of people over-order and return. Keep the item in your wishlist or add another size to your cart. It may restock in a few days.

  • Start with shoes. Shoes go fast. Prioritize them when your access opens, and keep favorites in your wishlist to catch restocks.

  • Replace your most-loved items. Use this sale to restock the pieces you already live in: the jeans you wear weekly, the sneakers you've worn down, the pajamas you never take off. If you know you'll use it and it's on sale, that's a smart buy.

  • Use filters when you browse. Don't scroll endlessly. Filter by category (like denim or boots) or by brand (like Frame or Vince) to focus on what you actually need.

  • Lean into Nordstrom's return policy. It's generous. If you're unsure about sizing, order two and send one back. Just keep your returns timely.

We'll be adding more picks throughout the sale, so check back in!

Whether you're shopping early access or waiting for public, remember the goal: buy better, not just more. Happy (intentional) shopping!
