The Wardrobe Consultant’s Year in Review: 2022

There is a taking stock of sorts that happens at this time of year. Have we been naughty or nice? What have we accomplished? Were the goals or resolutions set at this time last year achieved? What have we gained, and what have we lost?

While I could go really deep into some of these questions, at this time and in this space, I am going to keep it focused on fashion and fun. I just want to acknowledge that I feel blessed.

THANK YOU!

First and foremost, thank you! Simply and sincerely, thank you! During this holiday season and as we get ready to ring in a new year, I want to thank each and every one of you for being here. We’ve created a kick a** community, and it’s because of YOU.

Whether you’re a styling client, a die-hard and/or occasional blog reader, a course participant, a social media follower, or a brand partner, I am grateful to be on this journey with you. Together we are making fashion fun again!  We talk about the real challenges we face in feeling good as we are today. Not in the “when I lose those 10 lbs” future good.

My drive is to demystify the seemingly elusive goal of looking good and therefore feeling good - and to make it fun along the way. It is achievable! And it is a process. And I am here to support you along the way. And BTW, I am on that same journey with you. I know the struggle because I personally feel the struggle too.

As Jess Sims, one of my favorite Peloton instructors (because exercise is one of my personal challenges and goals) says at the end of every class - “you are BOTH a masterpiece and a work in progress AT THE SAME DAMN TIME”

The cornerstone of my business is relationships - both in real life and online. So the trust you put in me to help you and refer my accounts and services to your friends and family truly means the world.

Like many, my business literally stopped in 2020 - like a dead, screeching halt. So the fact that 2022 was my most successful year in business is a testament to YOU! Thank you for supporting me through it all -  the growth, the change, the challenges, and the wins. And primarily for being you and being here.

TWC Reader Favorites 2022

One of the cool things about using affiliate links (you know, the links I share that you click on out of curiosity or to buy stuff) is that it gives me analytical data to see what in fact, resonates with all of you. I went deep into explaining how it all works in this blog post. But for those that want the salient points and cliff notes versions, here ya go…

  1. Clicking the links does not cost you more. Everything is the same price as the retailer lists.

  2. I receive a slight commission from the retailer for purchases made (so, again, thank you!) This allows me to underwrite the costs associated with producing and maintaining my site and accounts.

  3. While I am not paid by clicks, all sorts of engagement help the cause. So yes, another, thank you for every LIKE, COMMENT, SAVE, CLICK, AND SHARE. It really does help and costs nothing.

  4. Yes, I can see how many people click a link or make a purchase but not who clicked or bought it.

  5. Returns are calculated into the commission structure and are why the company holds on to my payout for 280 days.

Affiliate Links
Since the purpose of this blog is to take the stress out of getting dressed, we try to make it easy on you by sharing shoppable links (accessed by clicking the PINK words or the actual photo) with awesome readers like you. We want to let you know, some of those contain affiliate links for products. There is absolutely no additional cost to you if you take action (click, purchase, subscribe) with one of these links. As a result, we will earn some coffee money from your click. But we promise to drink it while creating more ad-free, helpful content like this.
