The Ultimate Guide to My ShopMy: Where to Find Everything I Wear

The Ultimate Guide to My ShopMy

I've been building something for years and I'm not sure I've ever properly explained it to you.

Every outfit I post, every try-on I do, every sunscreen I won't shut up about, every lamp in my Florida apartment that somebody asks about. All of it gets linked and saved in one place. Thousands of products at this point, sorted into collections, searchable, and sitting there waiting for you.

And I've just been assuming you all knew. Which, based on my DMs, is not the case.

So today I'm walking you through it.

The Ultimate Guide to My ShopMy

Why I use ShopMy

I want to be straight with you about why I landed here, because I've tried a lot of platforms over the years.

I was an early adopter. I moved over a little over 2 years ago, back when a lot of people hadn't heard of it yet, because I looked at what they were building and how they ran their business and I was genuinely impressed. That impression has only held up.

ShopMy lets me link absolutely anything. That's it. That's the reason.

That might not sound like a big deal, but it changes everything about how I can help you shop. Most linking platforms only let you link products from brands they have a partnership with. Which means if I fell in love with a sweater from a small boutique, or a hand cream I picked up at a shop in Cleveland, or something from a brand that isn't part of the network, I couldn't share it with you. I'd have to say "sorry, no link" and we'd both be frustrated.

With ShopMy, if I can find it online, I can link it. Every piece in an outfit. The bag, the shoes, the earrings, the lipstick. All of it. No gaps, no "the top isn't linkable," no sending you off to Google it yourself.

It's also clean and organized in a way that actually works. Instead of links disappearing into old posts and expired Stories, everything lives in one place, sorted into collections, and it stays there. Something I linked eight months ago is still right where I put it.

Easy peasy. That's what I needed.

And here's the part I’m so excited to share…

I'm currently one of ShopMy's top 200 creators!

I'm telling you that for one reason only, which is that it is not about me. It's about you.

That number exists because of the women reading this. Because you trusted a recommendation. Because you clicked a link, or told a friend, or came back and told me the jeans worked. Every bit of it traces back to you, and I'm aware of that every single day.

I would not be doing this without you. Not the blog, not the styling, none of it. So thank you, genuinely.

One quick note, since I published the Ask Hallie post last week and I don't want to muddy the waters. Those two things do different jobs. Ask Hallie is for when you need help figuring out what to wear. The shop is for when you already know what you want and you just need the link. Different questions, different tools, and you're welcome to use both.

Examples of my ShopMy posts:

What a link actually means for you

Let's talk about this openly, because I think you deserve to know how it works.

When you shop through one of my links, I may earn a small commission from the brand. It costs you nothing extra. The price is exactly the same as it would be if you went to the site directly.

Here's what I want you to understand about that: it does not change what I recommend. Plenty of things in my shop earn me nothing at all, and I link them anyway, because they're good and because you asked. My rule has always been that I only share what I'd tell my own friends about. Full stop!

And the commissions are a real part of what keeps this blog free. Every post, every guide, every fashion formula, no paywall. That's possible because some of you shop through my links. So if you've ever used one, thank you. Truly.

How to actually use my shop

Here's the walkthrough.

Finding the shop

My shop lives at shopmy.us/shop/thewardrobeconsultant. You'll also find it in my Instagram profile, in every newsletter, and linked throughout my blog posts. It’s often embedded straight into my blog posts so you can shop my link recommendations without even leaving the page. The platform embeds so seamlessly, you may not even realize you’re viewing a ShopMy post!

You don't need to create an account. You don't need to download anything. It's just a website you can visit, the same way you'd visit any other site.

Browsing by collection

Everything is sorted into collections so you're not scrolling through thousands of products hoping to spot the one you want. I'll walk you through what's in each one below.

Searching for one specific thing

This is the feature I want you to know about, because it's the fastest way to find what you're looking for. There's a search bar at the top of my shop. Type in what you're hunting for, whether that's "white tee" or "black boots" or a brand name, and it'll pull everything I've linked that matches.

Saw something in a Reel three weeks ago and can't remember which post it was in? Search it. You'll find it in about four seconds.

Those go.shopmy.us links

When you're reading a blog post or one of my emails and you click a product link, you'll notice the URL says go.shopmy.us. That's just my link taking you to the brand's actual website. Nothing weird, nothing that requires anything from you. You'll land right on the product page where you can buy it like normal.

Save it for later

I'd add my shop to your phone's bookmarks or your home screen. Most of you are shopping from your phone, and having it one tap away means you're not hunting through old emails when you finally have five minutes to look for those jeans.

Hallie's Closet

My personal favorites. The things I reach for constantly, the pieces I've bought in three colors, the stuff I'd grab first if my house were on fire. If you want to know what I actually wear rather than what I'm styling for someone else, it's here.

Try Ons

Every try-on I've ever done, organized by brand or by category. White tees, jeans, a specific retailer's new arrivals, all of it.

I think this collection is underrated. Seeing something on a real body before you order is worth a lot, and my sizing notes are in the posts.

The savings codes I can offer you

This is the part I'm most excited about.

Over the years, a lot of the brands I work with have offered me codes to share with you. I've been picky about which ones I keep. Every code below is for a brand I actually use and would recommend to you regardless.

Here are the ones I think you'll get the most out of.

Want the full list?

Those are my top picks, but they're not everything. I have codes with more than 80 brands at this point, and the complete list lives right on my ShopMy page in the savings codes section.

That page updates automatically as codes change, get added, or expire. So if you're wondering whether I have a code for a specific brand before you check out somewhere, look there first!

Want to take it one step further? Make a free shopper account

I said it earlier and I mean it: you never need an account to shop my page. If bookmarking my shop and clicking links is all you want to do, that works perfectly and you can skip this section entirely!

But there is a free shopper account on ShopMy, and if you find yourself coming back to my page regularly, I think it's worth two minutes of your time. Here's what it actually gets you.

A wishlist that remembers for you.

This is the big one. You know how it goes: you see something you love, you're not ready to pull the trigger, you tell yourself you'll come back to it. And then you never find it again. With an account, you can save anything to a wishlist and it stays there until you're ready. No more forty open tabs. No more screenshots you can't identify three weeks later.

Circles, so you stop hunting.

A Circle is how you follow the people whose recommendations you actually trust. Add me to your Circle and my newest finds show up in your feed automatically. You don't have to remember to check my page or scroll back through my Stories. It just comes to you.

Everything new, in one feed.

Instead of visiting my shop to see what I've added, your feed updates as I link. If you follow a few other people too, you get one clean shopping feed instead of ten different apps.

The app.

ShopMy has an app, and it makes all of this much easier on your phone, which is where most of you are shopping anyway.

Here's the part I love: if you save one of my links to your wishlist and buy it three months later, it still counts as coming from me. So you're never in a rush, and you're never accidentally shopping around my recommendation just because you waited.

How to sign up

Takes about two minutes. Use this link to create your free shopper account, sign up with your email, and you're done. Then add me to your Circle and you're set.

Full transparency, the same way I've been about everything else here: ShopMy gives me a small credit when someone signs up through that link. It costs you nothing, and I'd be telling you about the wishlist feature regardless, because I use it myself constantly.

A few things to know

What if something is sold out?

It happens, especially when a piece takes off. A lot of brands restock, so it's worth checking back or signing up for a restock notification on the product page. And if something's gone for good, send me a DM. I can usually point you toward something similar.

Do I have to use your link for the code to work?

No. The codes work at checkout no matter how you get to the site. Using my link helps support the blog, and I appreciate it, but the savings are yours either way.

Why did a link open in a strange browser window?

If you're clicking from Instagram, the link opens inside Instagram's own browser, which can behave oddly with checkout and autofill. If a site is acting up, look for the three dots in the corner and choose "Open in Safari" or "Open in Chrome." Solves it almost every time.

How often do you add new things?

Constantly. Every outfit I post, every try-on I do, every product I mention gets linked. The Latest Finds collection is the easiest way to keep up.

Can I start a ShopMy shop?

If you’re a creator or a person with an engaged audience who regularly posts shoppable content, then yes! You can use my referral link to apply to be a ShopMy creator.

One more thing

I know shopping can feel overwhelming, especially online, especially when you're trying to build a wardrobe that actually works instead of adding to a closet full of things you don't wear. That's exactly why I organize everything this way. Not so you buy more, but so that when you do buy something, it's the right thing.

Bookmark the shop. Use the search bar. Grab a code when you find one for a brand you love.

And if you want more help than a link can give you, that's literally my job. Reach out anytime.
