Meet Ask Hallie: A Personal Stylist in Your Pocket, 24/7
Text, Talk, or Show Me What's In Your Closet
If you've ever sent me a DM, there's a good chance it started like this:
"What do I wear to this?"
Then a wedding. A work trip. A milestone birthday. A funeral. A first date at 58. A Tuesday that suddenly requires an outfit.
I love this question. I have built an entire career on this question. And for years now I have been quietly drowning in it.
Here's the honest math. My inbox gets hundreds of messages a week. I answer as many as I can, usually late at night, usually while my own family is asking me what's for dinner. But I am one person, and a real answer takes real time, and the truth is that most of you never hear back from me. Not because I don't want to help. Because there is only so much of me.
That has bothered me for a long time.
So we built something.
What Ask Hallie is
When you're stuck in front of your closet, you're usually stuck in one of two ways. Either you can't figure out what to do with what you have, or you've figured it out and now you need to find something you don't own yet.
Ask Hallie handles both.
A personal styling AI, trained on me. Not a generic chatbot with my name on it. This is trained on 15+ years of my actual writing, videos, and advice, which comes out of more than twenty years of professionally styling real women. You can ask it anything you'd ask me, and it answers in seconds, in my voice, using my actual approach to dressing.
Personal shopping lists, put together by a real human. Twice a month, you can tell us what you're looking for and someone on our team goes and finds it. Real links. Your size. Your budget. Your stores.
One helps you think it through. The other goes and gets it.
Why it actually sounds like me
This is the part I care about most.
Everything I have published since I started this business is in there. Every blog post. Every Reel. Every styling breakdown, every "here's why that isn't working," every answer I've given about proportion and fabric and fit and why you feel weird in something that technically looks fine.
Which means when you ask about layering for a chilly outdoor wedding, you're getting my answer to that question. The same one I'd give a one-on-one client.
And you can check. Every answer includes little numbered citations like ¹ ² ³. Click one and it shows you exactly where that advice came from, usually a specific post of mine on that exact topic. You can follow it back and read the whole thing, and most of those posts have shoppable links built right in.
I love that feature. It means nothing is a black box. You can always see my work.
Hallie's answers come with numbered citations, like ¹ ² ³, attached to the points she's making. Those aren't just for credit. Each one links to the exact source she pulled from: a blog post, a styling guide, a piece of her existing content. And almost all of it is shoppable.
So when Hallie tells you "a structured blazer is the easiest way to elevate jeans²," you can click the little number next to it and land on the full blog post about styling blazers, with every piece linked.
Type it, say it, or show her
Three ways to use it, and the third one is my favorite.
TYPE. Ask a question the way you'd text a friend.
TALK. There's a voice option, and it's my actual voice. I recorded it for this. If you'd rather talk through a problem out loud while you're standing in your closet with your hands full, you can.
SHOW. You can send photos. This is the one people don't expect. Hold up the dress you already own and ask if it works for the rehearsal dinner. Send a picture of the three jackets you're deciding between. Photograph the outfit you put on this morning that feels slightly off and ask what's wrong with it.
That last one is the closest thing to having me there with you, and it's the reason I think this is worth your money. See a real example below.
"Can't I just ask ChatGPT?"
You can. I want to tell you honestly what's different, because it's a fair question.
General AI tools are trained on enormous amounts of the internet, and when it comes to style advice, a lot of what they've absorbed is forums and comment threads. Reddit is a real source for these tools. Which means when you ask a general chatbot what to wear to your daughter's wedding, you may be getting the aggregated opinion of a lot of anonymous strangers, presented with total confidence.
Ask Hallie is trained on one person's expertise. Mine. Twenty-plus years of standing in real closets with real women, watching what works on actual bodies, understanding why a woman who's 5'2" and hates her upper arms needs a different answer than the internet's generic one.
It also knows my actual point of view. That a healthy wardrobe is about the percentage of your closet you actually reach for. That you don't need to start over. That the goal is feeling great in your clothes, not chasing whatever is trending.
A general chatbot doesn't know any of that, because nobody taught it.
Let's talk about the AI part
I know. Believe me, I know.
Some of you have been reading me for years and the words "AI stylist" made your shoulders go up around your ears. I want to address that directly, because I would rather tell you the truth than have you find it out later.
It is AI, and I'm not pretending otherwise. It's built on a platform called Delphi. When you're chatting, you're chatting with software trained on my work. You are not chatting with me live, and it will never claim to be.
The voice is really mine. I recorded it deliberately so this would sound like me instead of a robot reading my words. But it's my AI speaking, not me on the other end.
I can see the conversations. Delphi lets creators view chat transcripts, and I do read them. I want to be upfront about that, because I'd rather you know than assume otherwise. But I want to tell you why it matters: it's how I find out what you're actually stuck on. Your questions shape what I make next. When forty of you ask the same thing in a week, that becomes a blog post.
Your conversations and photos are not sold to advertisers. Delphi does not sell or share chat content or the images you send. Your messages and photos are stored on their servers in the US for as long as you have an account, and you can request access to your data or ask for it to be deleted anytime by emailing support@delphi.ai. Their full privacy policy is here, and I'd rather you read it than take my word for it.
My one piece of advice: treat it like you'd treat a group chat with a friend, not a diary. Styling questions, absolutely. Deeply personal medical details, probably keep those between you and your doctor.
I thought about softening all of that. I decided you'd rather have it straight.
What it actually looks like
Rather than describe it, here are real exchanges.

Example conversation #2:
When you need a real person: Link Requests
Some things need a human.
Twice a month, annual members can submit a Link Request. You fill out a short form telling us what you're hunting for, the occasion, your budget, your size, the stores you love, the styles you avoid, and anything else that matters. Then our team goes and actually finds it.
Within three business days, you get back a personal shopping list. Real links you can click and buy, at a range of price points, chosen for what you told us.
This is for the things you're trying to find. A blazer that works over the dress you already own. Jeans that fit the way you want after the last three pairs didn't. Something for a rehearsal dinner in eleven days. The white button-down you've returned four times.
Quick note on outfits I've posted: if you're looking for something specific I wore on Instagram, that's always linked in my ShopMy, and it's faster than waiting three days. Save your Link Requests for the hunt.
This is not automated. A real stylist reads your form and does the searching. It's the closest thing to personal shopping we've ever offered outside of one-on-one work.
Link Requests come with the annual membership. It's the one thing I've kept for annual members, because a real person spending real time on your closet is the part I can't scale, and I'd rather give it to the women who are settling in for the long haul.
Here's the way I'd think about the two features together: Ask Hallie is for thinking through the question. Link Requests are for getting exact answers.
What it doesn't do
I would rather tell you this now than have you find out in month two.
It doesn't know live inventory. It can tell you what to look for and where to look. It can't tell you whether your size is in stock right now. That's what Link Requests are for.
It can't guarantee your size across brands. It can talk about fit and what tends to run how, but no stylist alive can promise you a number in an unfamiliar brand.
It doesn't know your closet unless you tell it. The more context you give, the better it gets. "What do I wear to a barbecue" gets a decent answer. "What do I wear to a barbecue, I'm 5'3", I own these four things, I hate my upper arms, it's 90 degrees" gets an answer you can actually use.
It's not where you go to find my outfits. Everything I post is linked in my ShopMy. Ask Hallie is for your closet, not mine.
It's not a replacement for working with me directly. If you want someone in your closet, in your corner, going through everything piece by piece, that's still a different service and I still do it. You can view my services here.
The Founding 100
Ask Hallie is open now, and I'm opening it to 100 founding members.
$179 for the year, locked in for life. As long as you stay a member, that's your rate. Forever. Even as we add features, even as the price goes up for everyone else.
And it is going up. When the hundredth person signs up, the price goes to $399 a year, and the lifetime lock goes away. Founding members will be paying less than half of what everyone after them pays, for as long as they stay.
Your founding membership includes:
Unlimited chatting with Ask Hallie by text, voice, and photo
Two Link Requests every month, curated by our team
Everything we add from here, at no additional cost
Your rate locked for as long as you're a member
One last thing
I built this because I got tired of not being able to answer you.
For years the only two options were free content, which is great but can't answer your specific question, or working with me one-on-one, which not everyone can swing. There was nothing in between. This is the in between.
I hope it makes getting dressed easier. I hope it saves you from buying the wrong thing. Mostly I hope that the next time you're standing in your closet at 7am feeling stuck, you have somewhere to go.
xo, Hallie
